A2P 10DLC registration is required for all businesses sending text messages to U.S. phone numbers. Without it, carriers will block your messages. Click IT CRM handles the registration process as part of your onboarding.
A2P stands for Application-to-Person — any text message sent from a software platform (like Click IT CRM) to a person's phone.
10DLC stands for 10-Digit Long Code — the standard U.S. phone number format your business uses to send texts.
U.S. carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) now require all businesses sending A2P messages via 10DLC numbers to register their brand and messaging campaigns with The Campaign Registry (TCR). Unregistered messages are blocked entirely.
Since February 2025, all major U.S. carriers block SMS and MMS from unregistered 10DLC numbers entirely. Your messages simply won't arrive.
T-Mobile charges up to $10,000 per content violation for unregistered traffic. Other carriers impose tiered fines ranging from $500 to $2,000.
Registered campaigns get higher throughput, better delivery rates, and reduced filtering. Your texts actually reach your customers' phones.
When you sign up for Click IT CRM, our team handles the A2P 10DLC registration process for you. Here's what's involved:
Legal business name, EIN/tax ID, physical address, and contact information. This must match your official business registration.
Your website needs published Terms of Service and a Privacy Policy that include SMS-specific language about message frequency and opt-out instructions.
You need a documented way customers consent to receiving texts — a form checkbox, booking confirmation, or written agreement. Pre-checked boxes don't count.
