Sending SMS and MMS with A2P 10DLC
A2P 10DLC refers to a system that allows businesses to send Application-to-Person (A2P) type messaging via standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers. 10DLC is mandatory for certain businesses. If your company sends long-code A2P messaging, you must switch to 10DLC messaging. Each brand will need individual registration, which means businesses may not group together similar campaigns in one registration.

The CP-575 letter is a notice from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that confirms your Employer Identification Number (EIN). This nine-digit tax ID number is essential for various business purposes. Here’s what the CP-575 includes:
- Your EIN
- Business name
- Official filing address
- Federal tax forms your company must file (such as Form 941, Form 940, and Form 1120) 1.
If you’ve applied for an EIN, the IRS will mail you a paper CP-575 letter within about four to six weeks. It’s crucial to keep this letter safe, as you’ll need it for tasks like opening business accounts, setting up payroll, and communicating with government agencies. Sole proprietors who use their Social Security number for business operations typically don’t need an EIN or CP-575 1.
If you misplace your CP-575, don’t worry. You can request its counterpart, the EIN verification letter (147-C). Contact the IRS Business & Specialty Tax Line at 1-800-829-4933 (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM local time). They’ll verify your identity and send you the 147-C by mail or fax. This letter serves as an alternative proof of your business’s filing address, name, and EIN 1.
