Porting your Non-Twilio Telephone Number to a Location (Partial - SMS Only)

NOTE: If you need a phone number ported for use with Click IT Phones, please fill out the forms specified here instead: https://clickitphones.com/phone-configuration.

The porting information below concerns Click IT CRM ONLY.

What is Hosted SMS?

Hosted SMS allows you to send and receive messages on voice-enabled numbers you already own with another carrier. It does not affect the number's voice capabilities. We only register the number for SMS to route in and out of the platform.

What numbers can I host on Twilio for SMS?

Hosted SMS supports U.S. and Canada in Beta. Mobile numbers are not supported. VoIP numbers from some providers will be supported in the future. Numbers already owned by a Twilio account for voice services cannot be hosted on another Twilio account for SMS services.

How can I host my number for LC phone locations?

We will need the end-user to complete ownership verification and LoA (Letter of Authorization) signature once the following information has been submitted.

Administrators, copy and share the following information with backend services via the 24/7 Live Chat Support.

FAQs:

1. My Twilio number took forever to port over; what's going on?

Sometimes, those Twilio numbers might already be with another Twilio project. So, we need to move the Twilio number once the client provides the losing Account SID.
